Anyone got any load data for this combination? Keen to hear peoples velocities and powder loads if possible before I try it out.

Ask Kiwi Greg. He invented the calibre.
It's pretty plurry close to 222 magnum. The 222magnum was necked down to make the 204 ruger... Which was necked up etc to make your 204-22
Hold the line caller...
From Nick Harvey's third edition. Not too hard to work load from there...
I can tell you in .223 with what seems like a SAAMI chamber I could only fit about 22.5gr of 2208 under an 88. That's all the help I am.

thanks for the replies guys. Looks like the 224 valkyrie data might work too, case capacity is 1 gr more than the 204 Ruger. I will report back when I've done a bit of testing
Yea it’s more different than people think to the the 222mag shoulders blown forward and steeper shoulder angle it’s closer to 5.6x50, iv got some data it might just take some finding you’ll need a 7.5 twist for starters assuming you do il dig out what I have?
Easier to find than I thought
Brilliant, thanks Kelton. What barrel
Length are those velocities from?
20 or 22” I’m not sure I shot the 80s at 3080fps 22” and didn’t bother with the 88gn as mine was 8 twist that data’s from Greg
Download GRT mate. You can model the 22-20 and add wildcats quite easily. It's exceptionally handy as a sense check of what velocity to expect pressure as well as to give ideas for powders for strange combinations.
If you can’t find data, try using 6x47 Remington data and drop back 1/2 grain, essentially.222 mag necked up to 6mm,
Be more data for 70-75gr weights,
I have one on a cooper, Hornardy had data.
Do you already have one or are you building it?
If building, look at the 22x47lap or 22cm both are big step up in performance over the 22T and can download them if you dont need the speed to 204 speeds
There's a big thread on Snipershide about 223AI, with a lot of info for 85-90gr projectiles. Not the same cartridge, buy case capacity will be quite close.
Barrel length will be what makes the difference, a 26" barrel will likely be good for 2850fps, whereas and 18" is going to be considerably slower.
