Any factory .223 I have used has all being acceptable grouping. Definitely differing POA. Canít remember any that were unacceptably bad. Certainly a few duds/misfires that cost me some animals.

just tried hornady 55gr hpbt in the new ruger didnt bother with groups just shoots good and oz outback 69gr sierra hpbt shoots virtually the same poi.20 rounds total sighted in with half those shot for confidence it was on target. thanks to custom guns for a nice setup ruger american ranch. .much easier than someones 7mm08 that doesnt want to zero for some reason but at least his 243 works.

Got some 65g serria game kings loaded, resized, if you want to try some, give me a Bell.
My Savage model 10 storm lightweight, is out shooting my targetised Model 12 annoying in a way. 1/9 twist is a nice twist ---- the Savages are 1/10 pretty sure of, all though plenty would disagree 1/9.

Since 1995 all Mod 110 Savage .223 variants have been 1:9
My Lightweight is 1:9. Shoots 69grn just fine.

    Appreciate the offer thanks @flock.

I won't be able to get to the range until next Wednesday to try out the PPU 55gr. I am hoping for goods things and then I guess it's a mater of seeing where we go from there.

    Cheers
    Phil

My apologies, re measured the barrel of the Savage light. It appears I have been measuring the lengh of of my barrel 6 inches from my asshole. Barrel length from the lands is 18 and a bit inches, 2 full turns. So apologies are in order it is a one in nine twist.

To be fair to myself the advertising does say 20 inch barrel, and didn't mention twist rate.
