It's disappointing considering how nice these guns are as a set up you can just buy off the shelf. Light weight. Threaded. 700 pattern so world is your oyster for aftermarket. Set up for AI mags out of the box.
But the Bergara's 223's certainly seem to be getting a reputation.
The twist rate is a bit backward for 2025, I wonder if they just use the same buttons as they use to make their 22-250's?
Maybe is more that only crazy Kiwis are pushing 223 to propel heavy projectiles and the rest of the world/ market are still treating it as varmint cartridge.
From the "testing" I've done with two Bergara and three Howa 223's it's not projectile related. One problem is that the heavier factory load offerings are pretty much universally shite (or have been in the rifles I've tried them in).Quote:
