    As mentioned by @woods223 wind is a big thing (actually a really big thing) when reaching out past 250M with a 223 - whilst 55s will do the job under that, in any wind you have to be spot on with your wind calls over it, the 69s and up give a significant improvement on wind bucking.
    @gmm - interesting re the 69s, they shoot well in so many different 223s but I've always been too "conservative" to try them on deer or game, can you tell us a bit more. Ta

    HI Tentman, just started to use them they are a hollow point boat tail, have only shot a few fellow with them but just poleaxed them, but were neck shots. I have a 1:8 twist and did my testing with 2206H and found that 25.5 gr worked best and had consistent speeds, 3023 to 3037 over 5 shots. Grouped the best. Will try them on the reds later in the year and keep you updated on how they go.
