he does too! i searched a minute ago and got nothing. a web search showed his old trade me listings and his name in black I figured he was off trade me. the dude needs to finish his website. his email address returned my message to me.

    thanks anyway.

since my original 80 amax load about 700 rounds ago, my barrel has worn 12 thou and the load has gone off. so as I re-do my load I thought id try some of his heavy .224 projectiles too.

I've lung shot deer at 300 yds with them.
I don't trust the Barnes to be soft enough over 250.

Hi there I also brought a tikka t3 .223 1:8 twist about 8 months ago I couldn't get the 75grn amax to shoot as well as the 75grn hornady match witch are awesome I use 23.5grn of 2206h, I also made my magazine longer to seat the projectiles out, I hope that helps,Nathan

Hi fellas I'm still here just too busy & not computer literate enough to finish the website. My sister in law was doing it & I never got back to her with more info so that's how it has stayed.
If anyone wants me I'm still at the same place targex10.1@gmail.com
    Cheers

What sort of accuracy were you getting from the 75gr Amaxs? I have the same gun and was thinking of trying them. Did you try any other powders?

Apart from heaps of different 55gn projectiles in a couple of 1 in 12" twist .223s, I've used the following in 1 in 8" twist bolt actions and 1 in 9" semi

    65gn Gameking, ADI 2206H
69gn Matchking ADI 2206H (shoots same POI in the bolt action to the gamekings)
75gn AMaxes ADI 2206H wouldn't fit fit in AR mag though and had to single feed in the Sako too
    80gn Matchkings ADI 2206H and 2208

Went back to the 65 and 69s though, cheaper, less hassle seating to fit and were just as accurate as the heavier projectiles in my rifles (admittedly never tried 500m shots). But good enough at 410m on turkeys.

I wish 2206H metered like 748. It is my favorite .223 powder. Other than metering.

My best load for the 65gr Gameking is with BM2 @2880fps
While the 75gr AMax prefers 2208 @2830 fps
    both to a similar POI

I need to put thru my chronograph again but I think I was doing 2600ft/s on the 65gr game king with CFE223 and somewhere on the 2840? With the BM2.
I will keep my eye in this post for more feedback and I will update my velocities and share later on.
    Accuracy 1/4-1/2"

    Thank you.

I was getting 2600 fps out of a 16" with 24gr 2206H I think it was. 65gr sierra. Can crank it higher.

I was getting 2873fps with 25.2gn of 2206H, RP brass with the 65gn Gamekings in my 16" AR.
My .223 AR seems to have a tight chamber and short throat, so I get pressure signs before I even get to ADI recommended max charge.

In the .223 Sako I'm getting 2881fps with 24.9gn of 2206H, RP brass with the 65gn Gamekings. The bolt action seems to like lighter loads.
