    .224 TTSX 55g for 22-250

Does anyone load the TTSX 55g in a 1:14 twist barrel for 22-250. Or tried with or with out success. If so what loads have you used as i am having a bit of trouble finding any data for it. Any help is appreciated.

I would be keen to know as well.
I tried some 62g and only one hit the target at 25m. And that was a keyhole. 1 in 14 just doesn't stabalise them. So 55g and lighter it is.

What luck have you had with your loads.

I use the 50 grn in my .223 and really rate them..its a plain Jane Zastava mini mauser and best I can tell its 1 in 10 or 11?????
even that weight says 1 in 12" or faster.

A bullet worth trying in 1:10 is the Nosler 64 grn bonded. They shot ok in my one. I just had a few to try.
They are an expensive premium bullet, about the same cost as Barnes.
I've seen them on Trade Me.

They get good reports at 22.250 velocities.

Im guessing a shorter projectile, as it will stabalize a semi point rather than splizer.......one of the 22-250 guys will know.

I've got a few for someone if you want to try them.

    Was that a 1:14 twist?

Also another question. Will barrel length help stabilize a heavier bullet?
Any way i got a sample pack today of the Barnes 55g so will try them out and see how they go.

Yes 1 in 14 twist, really tried the partition 60 gr but not accurate enough despite many attempts, like wise the Barnes except for the 45 gr

People on some American forums have said they have used them but there has been no load data with the discussion to back anything up.
