Rust may damage the brass and/or cause the case to get stuck in the die. Only one sure wayto know tho...............

Steel wool (pot scrub) and a bit of wood dowel should sort it. Speed is a 25odd's best friend, try ADI 2209, with the Hornady 117 SST or Sierra 117 Pro Hunter, with a minimum 24" barrel you should be able to squeeze up to 3200 from it if you are patient and carefull about pressure signs .Get the ADI book or look them up online for loads. Pm me with your barrel length and action type and I'll see if I can give you some direction.

I have loads for my 25-06 using 2209 and a bunch of different projectiles.
Currently using 117 SST but changing to 100 Partition. this is in a Marlin XL7 with a 22 inch barrel.
PM me if you want some tested loads rather than book loads - YMMV in your rifle.

Thanks for the replys guys....hey wisper that would be great iv got the Remington 700 mountain model i think one of the early modles iv had it around 20 years has 4 shot built in mag slim 22" barrel it seems to like the 120grain core lokt the best or the 117 federals havent put any reloads through it ages but after spending nearly $140 on 40 rounds thought id better do some more! just been looking at buying a lee loading kit from reloaders supplies .

Try Wilhelm Arms and optics in ChCh, they also have the Lee Challenger and it is pretty much what you need.
    Make an enquire.

As I understand it, Federal and CCI are made in the same factory to the same spec, in my rifles, no real diff, will use either but if you go Rem 91/2's, bad bad bad!

@Boaraxa I have some data here in my speer reloading manual that I can post if you want it just let me know what powder and projectile weight you are going for and I can see if I have data for your chosen powder.

There is nothing wrong with using a lee kit and don't let anyone tell you otherwise it is getting you up and running with reloading, I have the RCBS reloader special 5 starter kit which i ended up hire purchasing I am happy with that but did not get anywhere as much as what the lee kit comes with but still happy with it as it got me up and running and it came with a reloading manual where as the lee kit does not.
