your right, that round will work for most applications, and I have a bunch made up for hunting at the moment, though this is only the first round that I have developed for this rifle and so im using it as a benchmark I guess to develop another one which would better
suite longer ranges where a higher velocity will help.
Bullet placement is always key... energy at impact is also important + less dialing on the scope
I shoot at both short range & bush and long range across valleys. I use to hunt red deer with a .243 where bullet placement was vital and if you didn't hit vital organs it would take a while to track and finish it off
