    264 Win Mag load data

I have had a play with some different powder / projectile combinations recently thanks to a starting point from @Kiwi Greg. Did 1 grain increment ladders and will refine the nodes i want to test now I know the left and right of arc.

All loaded in new Hornady brass, CCI LRM primer, COAL 3.300", 26" Barrel, LabRadar for velocities.

    charge / vel / remarks

    AR2225 130gr Sierra Game Changer

    65 3115
    66 3142
    67 3169
    68 3216
69 3258 no pressure signs, will go higher.

    AR2217 120gr Hornady GMX

    66 3237
    67 3309
    68 3354
    68.5 3393 no pressure
69 3420 Sticky bolt lift, ejector and swipe marks
70 3480 Blown primers / smoke primer leak, too hot!

    RL33 143gr Hornady ELD-X

    70 3043
    71 3068
    72 3109
    73 3145
    74 3177 faint ejector
    75 3220
    76 3261 faint primer cratering
77 3326 ejector mark and faint swipe
78 3348 too hot, primer leak
    79 not fired
    80 not fired

Reloader seems to get good velocities from the 140 class pills which my former load was a 140gr SST at 3050 with 64gr AR2217. RL33 looks to be a bit dirtier but i look after the barrel and it is a hunting rig so heaps of life left.

    Cheers.

Nice rifle ( what rifle is it please?) and many thanks for sharing your load development results.
I am running a semi custom savage in 264 winmag and it too has a 26 inch tube.
Was running the 130 TMKs with Retumbo at 3300fps and accuracy was good , only bummer now here in the UK - it has to be REACH compliant and Retumbo is not!!
Have picked up some Ramshot Magnum to try and was going to get a tub of reloader 25 ( reloader 33 is not advertised here yet ).
Tried the 143 EDL-X and she was shooting them into about a inch , changed to the 130 EDL-M and shooting sub half inch at 100 meters!!
    All the very best
