Always found Berger projs in 6.5 and 7mm calibers to be a very consistent weight and dimensionally. I.e a box of 6.5 140 grain vld were perfect, bar half a dozen that were a tenth of a grain heavy. Put them against a box of hornady 143 eldx and only half the box were 143, the rest were between half a grain light to heavy and a handful were over a grain out. Probably wouldn’t matter to most, but it makes you think hard when you’re working up a load.
As for the price, Berger aren’t a magic wand that turn a bad shot into a good shot but they do kill very well right throughout a large range of speeds. I don’t shoot enough to find the price an issue so I’ll stick with them for now.
Cheers Cliff
