About LinkBacksGod damn that front stud is a PITA. Mine flogged out in the stock so I had to do the same as you have done. The honeycomb in the forend was not centered at the stud so I ended up making a larger aluminium insert and epoxy glued it in, filling the voids. Being a bedded barrel also made it harder.
