    300 Wsm Load development

Looking to run the 178gr ELD-X projectiles in my 300wsm. Has anybody got a copy of the latest Hornady manual or have any data on this?

I have a tub of superformance which i could use, or go and purchase something else.

had some great results lately with Hogdgen Hybrid100V. 180 gn Berger VLD Elite Hunter for 3040 - 3050 fps and ~0.7moa grp. Sweet spot was around 64gn, which is close to max pressure - so while safe in my rifle, use the careful work up from lower approach as per normal. Prior to that was using IMR4350, the H100V give at least 100 fps gain in my set up

63gr too hot in my Tikka with Re17 but have heard of others that are fine up there. Backed off to 62gr and getting 2850 out of 20 inch barrel, shoots 1/4 quite happily.

I find the Nosler load data available on line is usually pretty helpful ... more so than some others.

Id suggest if you guys want something special out of your WSM with a 165-180gr projectile, have a serious look at Hodgdon Superperformance.. I'll just leave this here..
