I've only used winchester and norma brass and the norma was definately softer. In saying that I only use norma now and if you work up to suit the norma it lasts fine....my current batch are on their 5th reload.
Havnt used the 165 TMK but did use the 195 and it performed very well on the 7 Reds I took with it....I would compare it to an Amax

Brother uses 168 amax in 300 wsm tikka at 3000 fps. Shot quite a few deer with combo and loves it. 5 yards to 500 yards.

@Pommy may want to chime in here. I think it's fair to say he'll be very happy if Lapua, Peterson or ADG decide to make the brass.....

Yup. Case heads on Norma are soft. You'll get stamps and smears if you try and push it whatsoever.

178 gr ELD X at mag length, Hornady book load with Re 17. Nothing has walked away, 30 metres to 500 metres. Doing 2840 fps. That's 20" barrel, so you'd get 3000 fps easily I'd say.

Funny you mention that brass bro, I get smears and stamps quite easily on my Norma stuff.

There's an interesting thread leading to some useful information on the subject of Nosler brass manufacture on longrangehunting.com. Thread is headed - Nosler brass strikes again.
