Just brought a 300WSM and will start reloading when I get some more money saved.
From what I've read I shouldn't need to go to magnum primers and the large rifle I already have will work fine.
Just wondering what others were doing? Cheers

LR magnum primers
I’ve always used lrm but a mate did a lot of testing in his 7saum with different primers and found lr was best. I’m happy with mine so won’t muck around with it but if I was starting to work up a load for it I’d probably do a limited test to see if there was one better than the other.
Different but use LR in my 270wsm
I was using standard large rifle in mine with Hodgdon Superperformance powder and 178 either eldm or x they both shoot well in the 3 that I load for.

use lr in my 7mm wsm. had excellent results. keeps it simple with one primer to rule them all.
I’ve tried both LR & LRM in the 300wsm, no change in POI, insignificant change in velocity
Have read significant changes begins when powder load is over 70 grains
