    Can any one tell me what make of projectile this is
    It's .308 150gr with a big alloy tip

    Alco make a 150gr alloy tip but it's not one of those. Maybe a Winchester silver tip?

    Looks like a Winchester silver tip.
    Used them years ago, they put big holes in things.

    I still have three boxes from the 1950/60s that the old man used in his 300 Savage.

    They were the latest and greatest back in the day.

    Used them in the 30 06 and 308 years back , worked well. 180 gr in 06 and 150 gr in 308.
