    308 ctr heavy projectiles

Is any body out there shooting over 200g projectiles out of the standard ctr.
We are looking to up the game with bc.
Currently running 168 amax out to 1200yds but trying to get to a mile!
    Any help appreciated

From what I hear the LR 308 guys just run the 150/155 grain Lapua or similar pills absolutely smoking hot, BC depends on speed but you are never going to get that much out of a 19" CTR.

my load sounds identical to striker, same speed from a 20" barrel using 2206h could also push them a little harder.Early days but they could be a consistent .5 load

    Interesting stuff.
I will have to have a look at the ballistic calculator to see what the advantages are over the 168 epdm and amax

Hey @andyanimal31 have you considered a 178gr TMK?
    May be the go?

    I recently worked a load in my S&L 308win. 25" bbl. ELD-X 178gn. 2208. 2620fps. 0.3 & 0.5 moa groups at 300. Retained v and e look pretty good.

Was shooting steel with some guys a few months back. 2 moa targets and they were getting there (1600 m) with 175 SMKs using F class rigs.
