.308 load data???
A mate n I both own T3s. We have used federal 150gn factory, and now looking at reloading our cases. Could someone pls point us to the correct projectile n powder? Mainly bush hunting, nothing long range or fancy. Apologies if it is here somewhere, happy to be redirected. Many thanks in anticipation.

My go to .308 Deer load.
Nosler 165gr Ballistic Tip projectiles seated 60thou off the lands, over 45.5grs W748 powder for a MV of 2680fps
This load will knock down everything from at your feet to 300m.
I've zeroed for 200m giving 2" high @100m and 8" down at 300m give or take an inch.
Cheers

150gr Sierra Pro Hunter, 47gr AR2208, seated to fit mag, CCI 200 LR primers. Shoots under an inch at 100yards with 4 different rifles I have loaded for. 47gr is book max so work loads up to that checking for pressure signs.
Nice cheap effective load, has worked well out to 300yards, great for in the bush.

155gr BTSP speer, 2208, load a ladder to determine what is safe for your specific chamber - taking someone else's load, especially if it is near or at max is not a clever way to go about reloading...

Hmm, had a look at the box again this morning, speers are 150 not 155

Thanks guys I'll pass it on. Will let you know the outcome!

I run sierra 150gr SBT in my 308, loves them. I would give 165gr SBT a try seeing as you are only doing bush hunting. I have not tried it yet as I wanted to keep the speed of the 150gr projectile for longer shots as I was not using a dial up scope. I have tried Sierra 180gr RN too, they shot well and totally pole axed goats I have shot with it. Great expansion.
I will be trying the 165 in the near future as my 308 will becoming more of a bush rifle.
