Got plenty of paper manual loads if you can't find any. Heck it won't be hard, pick flavour of projectiles you like, and go use it. Both 308 and 30/06 are easy so can't see the nm being different.
75/15/10 black powder matters
178 ELDX pushed along by 73 gn's of 7828 SSC gives me 3100fps. No pressure signs in my rifle, but it is up there so approach with caution, would suggest maybe around the 71gn's to start with. I also use the Targex 170gn projectiles, same load, and they shoot the same point of impact and are very accurate.
What rifle are you using husky?
IMR 4831 suits that cal very well with 178-180 grain.

There is data on the Hodgdon site as well. You might want to check the barrel twist as well 1in12 was standard.
Greetings,
The .308 Norma Mag was quite popular in the 1950's and early 1960's until the .300 Win Mag came out. Load manuals from that period will have data. The Speer no 9, the Lyman manual from the same period and others do so ask around or PM me if you get stuck.

Its actually a more efficient cartridge than the win mag. Being european it jusy didnt get the marketing usa hype.

Isn't it what everyone thought the 300 win mag should've been?
Greetings,
Sort of. By the early 1960's there were a whole bunch of new belted magnums. Winchester had started of with the .458 and .338 Win Mags from 1956 and 1958. They then dropped the ball with the .264 Win Mag in 1959 which Remington dispatched with the 7mm Remington Mag in 1962. The obvious next step would be a .308 calibre Magnum. A .30-338 wildcat already existed but its performance was no better than the .308 Norma Mag from 1961 or the .300 H&H Mag from 1920 for that matter. The slightly larger .300 Win Mag case was their answer. It beat the other two but not by much and came out in 1963.
