150 nosler or 165 TMK went well in my old tikka 16”
150 or 165 Hornady Interloc,
150 or 165 Speer hotcore
Overkill is still dead.
150g Sierra Gamekings all day
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
any and all of the above
I was just waiting on a reply from mate, he did try sierra gameking 165gr boat tails and where crap up close. I was a witness to this
Thats odd. I always found the 165 sbt very good.
Summer grass
Of stalwart warriors splendid dreams
the aftermath.
Matsuo Basho.
I haven't used them, but in theory Long Range Accubonds should work at those ranges at 308 speeds.
Overkill is still dead.
125 nosler bt pushed by 49gr of 2206 getting 2920fps out of 16inch tikka.awsome.
165NBT as my M18 prefers them over the 150NBT getting 2680 with 44gr of 2208 in a 22" barrel, drops goats on the spot (took wrong calibre) yet to take a deer with it.
Happy Jack.
168 ELD-M @2550fps has gone well for me.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
Good to hear eh. Ive been wondering if a better profile bullet than the SST flat bum is worth the extra case capacity loss of a 168. This 308 loading is more nuanced than I expected.
My latest idea of simply resizing dirty brass required me to drop my charge weight by 0.5 grain just to prevent compression (something i hate purely due to how hard it is to seat accurately)
130gr barnes ttsx is my pick tho 350 would definitely be extreme range for it from 16 inch....much better inside 300.
150gr interlock ,hard to beat performance 0-300 they just work
168eldm messy but work, probably the only realistic choice for 350y from 16 inch 308.
350 is pushing it with pretty much any projectile from a short 308 to have the bullet impact at velocitys they work well at IMHO.
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
308Win One chambering to rule them all.
150g speer gold dot. Hold together nicely
150gr hotcore Speer, 150gr Remington Corelokt is all I’ve used on everything shootable in NZ for 45+ years no problem. Tried early Nosler Ballistic Tips which didn’t impress me, too many complete jacket separations.
