Also, while you have fancy pants computer dohicky on hand SEE IF lilgun will work.... Usually available, really nice to reload with and works in both the horney and 7.62x39mm so it brackets what your using lol. I had it on hand a few years ago when using x39 and got mate to do computer dohicky data for me.works very well.

Yes, it seems feasible. Remember I'm here "because I don't know, not as a expert."
At the only recommended load I can find it's only 71% full and so apparently can burn too fast. If that makes any sense.
might be a hand gun rather than rifle load.
I'll test this load in two weeks and report.
    50m using garmin.

Quck look back thru my reloading log and it looks like I tried Lil'Gun with 93gr cast. Cannot find the results velocity or accuracy results at this stage but the use of Lil'Gun doesn't appear again, which is consistant with my success with Lil'Gun be it in my 32/20 or my Hornets (3 of).

The 100 gr XTPs are honeys, more accurate in my rifle than 100gr Speers or 90gr Sierras.

With the 100gr XTPs it looks like I initially tried 2205, then W296, VVN110, and finally settled on RL7. Oh, tried Unique with 81gr cast. I had no luck with cast loads. Even bought a crimping die in from the States because Richard Lee said that would make my loads excellent - it didn't.

I did use the crimp die for the XTPs - very light crimp only. My rifle is a Savage bolt with box mag so doesn't need the crimps like in a tube mag.

For primers I initially used small rifle and then changed to small pistol,

    Used Winchester and Starline brass.

Last entry in reloading log says I used Win SP Mag primers and RL7. I think they are still sitting in an ammo box unfired.

I've used other ADI extruded single base powders (2207, 2219) with no issues for reduced loads at 60-70% full cases, no issues with inconsistent ignition. Wouldn't get too hung up on the low pressure, some of my subsonic loads are around 7000psi.

I’ve spent a fair bit of time loading the 32-20 in two Marlin rifles.
Little gun I found a bit erratic.
H4198, N120 or CFE blackout all shot well at around 12-13 g, with a 100 gr hornardy or a 115 gr Camaro jacket bullet, about 1600 to 1750 for speeds.
4.5 gr trailboss with a 120 gr lead bullet gave me 1150 ish, about 3” lower than above loads that all shot similar.
SPP gave me better accuracy. Than small rifle.
My rifle shot fantastic with 85 gr hornardy. And 13 gr blackout @1900 fps

How does the accuracy of 85 grain compare to 100 grain xtp? in the 32-20

Both my Marlins 1895 wold shoot about 2.5”-3” at 50 M with irons for 6 shots, (mag full) both rifles carbide’s 20”
    I scoped both, with a compact 1x4 for load development, about 1-1.5” a 50 M. 85 gr was small groups at 50m,
I’ve got lots of 32 cal hornardy bullets, sitting in a sea can in Wellington, plus casting moulds,

Now if you really want a round, to fiddle with the 25-20 is fantastic, most pernistic, fussy calibre, I have ever loaded for, casting my own bullets might have sumthing to do with it, or perhaps making brass, or perhaps the 130 year old rifle, or the 60 year old carbine and rough rifling lead.

@southernman Great. Start a thread on your experience with the 25-20

I just finishing the stock on an 1885 25-20 rebuild and have the joy of trying to get it shooting accurately too look forward to

    Tried the ar2205 today.
100 grain xtp 1604fps. Which i have been told is to fast (pressure) for an 1892 Winchester.
    Any comments?

N110 would probably be just as fast

Was that with 11.5 grains? How does it compare to what GRT model predicted? Did it group well?

i built a 25-20 rifle up to a single shot [break action ] as i only got the barrel . found the brass really thin so had to be rather careful reloading .[did get some old ammo as well ]
havent done much reloading or shooting as got onto there projects . looking forward with interest any loading and shooting results to spark my interest again in this wee round .
