Thread: 338 Edge

Having an SSRNZ single shot rechambered in 338 Edge. I've got brass, 285gr ELD-M's and AR2225.

Any other Edge shooters on here with any loads they can share? I typically do a pressure workup in 0.5gr increments from a sane start point. Just not sure where that'll be.

I don't no flip flop and his edge shot this lot in about 2 minutes.....but then that was the only time I've ever seen it sighted in

Yeah, he is a bit suspect when it comes to zeroing rifles, and even more so when it comes to holdover on targets.

You never quite know with that one....

I ran 91 grains of h1000 under 300 bergers in my one

I’ve just started using 285gr ELD’s with 91gr ar2225 @ 2950fps, I was using 300gr elite hunter. So far with the 285gr ELD 9 deer have drop instantly and 1 ran 15m then collapsed. So far the performance and accuracy is better than the 300gr.

I'm single feeding 285's with 93gn of 2225. Trued V0 for 2903fps for 2,000m in a 30" Carbon Proof. My measure velocity is faster, but the number arent right at distance, hence determined the trued value.

Blimey that's smokin'... what length tube you using? Mine should come out about 28-28.5".
