338br loading
So I currently am getting about 23gr of n110 into my 338br case with a 175gr cutting edge projectile. I'm getting 2118fps, and any more powder gets pressure signs.
Anyone have experience with this projectile or with smaller cases with large projectiles?
I'd like to figure out what powder will help me increase the speed with up to atleast 2600- hoping to see 2800 if possible without the pressure signs of using n110.
Anyone have any thoughts etc or first hand experience ?

lilgun was rather good in the 7.62x39mm ...no idea of velocity and had to use quickload to work out what sort of charge to use...
bootom line your pushing a big lump with a little charge..it is what it is,you want more speed you might need bigger case

yeah, or a lighter projectile... which isnt really possible! be great bush gun etc. but dont see myseld doing alot of close range bush hunting these days!

Yes I hunted with .338 whisper for years, aka .338 BR. You can use ADI 2207 and 160gr TTSX or 180gr Nosler BTs for a faster load with good killing performance. I'd have to go back through some old loading notes to give you the load but from memory it was about 26gr. I'll have a look tonight.
I know where there is old stock of the 160gr TTSX if you are interested. Took many deer and goats with mine.

Lil Gun & 160 TTSX was my go to in my 338 BRX AR upper, 20" barrel 2550 fps
I also use it in my 8.6 x 47 Lapua with the same projectiles 12" barrel 2550 fps
Absolutely awesome on pigs & goats out to 200-250, not quite as good on Red Deer unless hit hard, not really going fast enough

If that case is getting full, time to remind yourself it's not a 338 Federal or 338-06.
If it's not full, try something slower like N120, N130...
