    44/40 projectile anyone tried this mold

    has anyone else tried this mold be interested to here if anyone else has it thanks in advance

    If thats a 200grn I had one in the 80s my bro has it now and it shot awsome every thing we tried in all 44mag pistols and rifles inc a micro grove win 94 but never tried in a marlin .

    Yes it's a classic. Good mold. That was the standard one for the .44/40 for years, and is the same shape as the original Winchester factory ammo from the 19th century,

    I've just cast several hundred, sized them to .427, powder coated them and am using in Uberti pistols and 73 rifle. They go well and seat perfectly. Have a good rep as a hunting bullet too. I'm casting scavanged range lead which drops at just on 215gn.

    I have 427666 which is a 200gn of a similar design
    But it has a far bigger lube grove as it is intended for BP
    That one will go just fine
