    5.6x39 reloading info

Anyone out there that can supply me with any reloading info on the 5.6x39 (220Russian) calibre & 6.5 Grendel as there's virtually no info in my manuals. I only have a dialup computer so find it ""VERY"" difficult to down load the web sites.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Phil.

I was having a look at the cartridge recently as there was a good deal on trade me for a 220 Russian. I found the below which was a cut out from a 1971 Handloader Magazine Article....

IMR 4198 is equivalent to ADI 2207 so would be a good place to start.

    22PPC by another name ?
I'm not an expert buy presumably any small differences would depend on the brass you can obtain and the action you put it in, rather than the cartridge designation.

There is data for 22PPC and 6.5 grendel in the ADI powders manual. We mostly use the online manual but a paper one does exist so ring around and see if you can get one. Someone here could advise where to get one.

Theres a whole forum board on grendel reloading at 65grendel.com and also two paper books available but you could struggle to get around the site on dial up.

Yeah I thought that was pretty hard case. Although the paragraph before has a bit more explanation.

So ... that was 48 yr ago.

    The 220 Russian, 22PPC, 6mmPPC and 6.5 Grendel are a completely different class and ballistically superior to .222 / .223 / 5.56x45 / 300AAC group.

Email me foster@pricefencing.co.nz with your barrel length and the projectiles you're thinking of loading and I'll run it in Quickload for you.

    Cheers

Sorry Tentman computer has thrown a hissy fit & won't cooperate. The barrel length's .540mm & hope to run 55gnsp projectiles. I'll have to find out more of the powders that are available in NZ but I think H335 or IMR 8208 might do it & have plenty of ADI 2207 too.
