Result All loads well under an inch

Interesting. I'm shooting the 85gr Sierra hollowpoints at ~2900 but they drop off very quickly past 250m. The 90gr TNT's haven't given me or shooting buddy particularly good accuracy. These could be well worth a shot. What length barrel are you shooting them out of?

Edit: I use a 20" Howa so have run the numbers in QuickLOAD. It's apparently not great at predicting Grendel loads, but assuming 2.260" OAL, it's predicting 1% compression and 2695fps with 34gr of CFE223, pressure quite low at 43.5K psi.

Looks like a good load.. any rifle/load details?
Ive loaded some 107gr Tipped Match Kings for mine but havent had a chance to test them yet.
Id say they are a very similar terminal performer as the Vmax Id say.

I think quick load is way off with that prediction mate
If you look online 65grendel.com mainly Obviously depending on powder change and oal etc
Most guys are getting 2800-2950 with cfe223 and 95vmax

Almost certainly. It's been pretty darn close for 223 and 308 but likes to overestimate for Grendel, normally by around 150fps.

What's your OAL? Looks like we have nearly identical rifles so I might have to steal your recipe for some experimenting!

Thanks for posting interesting info Rambo.
It's a relatively new calibre in NZ so sharing datter will be welcome.
Next, we'd like to see 5x5 shot groups please - a posting on Gimp's Accuracy Challenge !

    What's this 95gr load meant for ?
I'm guessing where there isn't much wind and for small animals, like hares or South Island wallabies up to 150m ?

Took two wallabies, both over 200m, with 85gr hollowpoints and they made a mess on impact. I imagine those VMax's with their much better BC would be good for anything <50lbs out to about 350m, maybe a bit further, quite happily.

It should be good to 350 ive seen Grendel being shot to 1500 in YouTube with 123 amax and and isn’t be to bad in wind
And should be sweet for goats and smaller deer species maybe not a sholder shot with a vmax ( varmint bulletin) yet to try but certainly a neck head would do the job Aswell as Obviously farm pests like bunnies terkeys pecocks etc its more an alround farm hunting rifle
Should handle anything that you will find on a north island farm I could go to a 100gn nbt (hunting bullet) or 100 barns ttsx it could be used for any game animal in nz at reasonable range
Most would use 120-130 in the Grendel but I find that to heavy for the Grendel just personally
And arround 100 is ideal I own a 6.5cm also and that will be set up with 130-140 for big game
