Thar are no harder to shoot and put down than any other wild game we have in this country. It all comes down to the hunter everytime.
As already said they can be dropped at long ranges like anything else or close up and personal ...right up and personal they'll drop with a small caliber time and time again. The bullshit I hear from many Sports shop owners and their staff on the topic of Thar hunting is quite sickening
at times. Like I said it comes down to the hunter, how good he is on Thar and more so their habits at different times of year etc.
You do not have to be a mountaineer to kill a thar unless you choose to do so.
Back to the original question...... a 120 grain Sierra pro hunter is a good choice in the 6.5's
