A quick check and Gunshity Orkland and Reloaders list 2209. Serious, well, just about everything on their website says SOLD. Reloaders keep their website up to date so if the item is listed they are 99.9% certain to have it. Botany H&F usually have the cheapest powder around.
Or you could try between 48. and 49.5 gr of Vihtavuori n560 if running the 140gr , works for me
Go to IMR7828, you will be very surprised. (And converted.)
I've found that Broncos Sports in Tauranga has 2209...and at excellent prices.
yea it needs to be in auckland as they dont usually ship gunpowder
ok i might give it a try if its available in auckland i run 140 hot cors and 140 interlocks in both my m96 and t3 found they both shoot exelent with max adi book loads t3 also shoots 123 amax well would you mind sharing your recepie you can pm it if you want cheers
I shoot 48grs of 2209 behind the 123gr amax and Lapua at coal for excellent accuracy, not a t3 though
the same with 20gr Nosler BT and federal brass.
you may want to start a couple -three grains down from there if you wish to try.
shouldnt be too hard finding 2209? My suggestion would be to make the effort to find some if youre happy with your load and stick with it as this is the first time I have ever heard of someone having trouble finding 2209, other powders like N560, IMR7828 etc that will go well in your 6.5 would in general be more likely to suffer a shortage. Its always fun to experiment though!
I'm making the effort as I don't want to have to redo my loads part of that effort is asking on here you never know someone might have some they don't use anymore I'll ring reloaders tomorrow I've rung everyone I can think of up these ways
NZ Ammunition have stocks of H4350 in pound tins if you are set on 2209 but can't get the ADI packaged product.
