    6.5x55 suppressed and shortened - eld-m (maybe?)

Does any one have a nice accurate load for the 143 ELD-X or 147 ELD-M in 6.5x55

    It's in a slightly shortened 20" T3 with a DPT.

Exact same set up as my 6.5x55 , I am loading 49 grs of AR2213SC with the 143 gr ELD X for 2754 fps. This is over book max so work up to that , I would start at 45-46 grains and go up in .5 gr increments. I tried 2209 at 44 grs about 2630 fps, and 45 grs of Superformance for 2600 fps. I could have gone higher with these last two powders but the 2213 SC load shot 1/2 inch so stuck with that.

I load 43.5g of 2209 but seat the 143 eld-x out a fair way. (Over 2”). Doing about 2600fps from memory and accurate enough for me.

Agree this is a very good load but i'd deffinately start way lower. 42gn depending on what primer. Those federals magnum large primers are have more punch imo.

I'd tend to dial it back a touch if it were me. ADI 2209 say aiming for 42grains, fed primer and lapua brass (always). And i wouldnt go heavier than a 140eldx with that barrel length.

Yes you could work up a load from lower than say 45 grains of AR 2213 SC if you wish to be on the safe side. I have a COAL of 79 mm with the 143 gr ELD X and use only standard LR primers as I read somewhere that a magnum primer is not required until 60 grains or over is used.
