    7mm Rem Mag loads?

    Hey chaps

Cant seem to get the search function to work so am going to be a pain and ask!

Just got a X-Bolt in 7mm Rem Mag that I'm wanting to load for, anyone got any loads that they recommend?

Barrel is 26" and thinking of 160gr range of pills, will be targeting reds, chamois and Thar.

Just wanting some advise before splashing out on pills and a can of powder.

Also if anyone has dies or brass for sale let me know....

    Cheers for any advice!

If you want to use 2217 then 71-72gr with a 160 - 168gr projectile will be a sweet spot.

Currently running a 22" barrel, 1:9 twist, ELD-X 162gr over 64.5gr ADI2213. That's pretty hot so work up. My rifle didn't show any pressure signs at this level but did start to show around 66gr when the barrel was hot. Shoots really well here and sits in a node from 63.5gr to 66gr. I've found in my rifle the ELD-X like quite a bit of jump.

    24" barrel, go to load is 70gn's 2213 behind a 140SGK for 3140fps. Or 64gns 2209 for 3169fps. Or a 154gn SST with 66gns 7828 for 3125fps

Few people mentioning the 2217 and 162gr combo!! Anyone run this with the ELD-X? Hear they can create higher pressures than other pills?

have run the ELD-X and 2217 for a while. Goes good!! my load was 70gr, norma brass and fed 215 primers. gave a mild 2900fps.

as usual this is book max load so work up! have found 71gr the sweet spot with 162 ELD-m's
