Ended up going up to max load with still no pressure signs. Tried seating out to fit the mag box but not enough in the neck so tried 68,69 and 71mm.
This was the result with 73.5gr of ADi 2225 at 68mm. Happy enough. Both groups were loaded on different days. Shot on different days. Rounds fired pretty quickly, suppressor to hot to touch. So will try 1 shot and cool then repeat next time I'm out. Not to bad for a standard Rem 700.
Cheers for the help and advice.

Ok, I hold myself for too long now regards this thread. I have and reload for two Tikka's in 7mm Rem Mag, one lite and other super varmint, they both shoot the same loads but I use 168Sierra Match King for the Varmint one for targets... I also use ADI2225 @73.5gr for the 168's and they fly at 3060ft/sat the muzzle and I use ADI2217 for the Amax's 162gr at 2850ft/s with that following accuracy...

The Amax's are seating at 2.680" to the ogive or 68mm long to the ogive also... And the 168gr a bit longer.

    Bellow:
Amax with 69.5gr ADI2217, highest single shot is the very first shot a 100meters, the two shots just above the bulls eye touching are the follow ups from the highest one... The three shots a bit more to the right and pretty much aligned with the horizontal line was shot from 200 meters.

Bellow: 5 shots with the 168gr Sierra MK with 73.5gr of ADI2225 @3060ft/s

    Nice shooting
Went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I couldn't find any.

I use 72gr of 2217 with 162 AMAX out of 7RemMag T3 super varmint with a 24 inch barrel. Shoots 10-12 mm 5 shot groups on a good day. But always under 25mm.

Next i am back in the country i might give 2217 a crack. 2 magpies from 3 shots yesterday at the hugely challenging range of 150y ish. So far that loads will have to do.Until next time. Cheers for the help.

If that was my huntin' rifle, I'd be happy with the 73.5gn load and just go shoot some shit. Thats a good group without playing around. My Rem 7mm Mag is probably 40 years old, on its second barrel and shoots the original load I sorted for it, in to groups just like that all day long. And animals just go bang flop.

Hey guys Im new to 7mm RM
I would like to load for hunting. In time, after the roar, a load for gongs.
I have Fed Match Magnum primers, 2213sc and 139 SST fired from rem 700.

I was going to try 64grn 2213sc any advances on that, note I am new to it.

I wouldn't bother with the 139 go with the 154 sst or 162 amax. and for powder 2217 or 2225.
As I was told when getting into the RM, there is no point using those light for cartridge projectiles, you might as well just get a 7mm08.

I suppose you could I don't know if it's the best powder to use though. I mean if you have got then use it but when you buy powder go with one more suited for the cartridge, 2225, 2217, reloader 17 or 19 etc

You can use 2213 and 154's
My old Ruger rem mag liked 71gn of 2213 and 150gn B/Ts.

Just make sure you work up to any of the loads posted.

With that double grouping is your mag box pinched in the action?
