Has anyone got a good load with 180eldm or berger 180 and rl26.
Seating depth not an issue
Twist rate; 1:8.7 (maybe not fast enough)
Thanks Garrett

Should be heaps of twist. I shoot both of them through factory tikka 7mm mag barrels. Can't help on the saum front though
I think maybe @GWH tried this combination.
I run them in a 7mm08ai tikka 9.5 twist @2650fps. No issues with stability so your 8.7 twist should be fine
Close but not quite. Ive run 180 eldms and re26 in my 284. Stabilised just fine in a 9.25 or 9.5 (cant recall but its one of the two) and going slower than they will from a Saum.
I do run re26 in my 7Saum too but with 162s. Havnt tried the 180 eldm in the Saum as yet but plan too.
Cheers @GWH
My interwebbing leads me to believe that 60g of rl26 with the 180 is the sweet spot
I presume it’s a Bartlein barrel with 8.7 twist? I have one on my 7RM and load 180s and RE26 for 2840 fps from a 25” barrel. The twist rate is more than enough for 180s at those sorts of speeds.
Try flicking Cam @camo wsm a message. I'm sure that he will have tried this combo
Bought a box of 180 eld ms today at gun city. Reckon they will go ok in a 1-9 twist bartlein? 7saum at 25 inches. Same question as above. How much R26?
The shooter turned up with a new Hardys compact suppressor witch performs extremely well
I have decided due to the current reloading component crisis that I am going to just use up all my old dregs.
I whacked together this lrab load this afternoon and will use it and see how it goes. I haven't shot anything with this pill in the past as I have never had any luck with an accurate load in any of my previous 7'sAttachment 167997Attachment 167998Attachment 167999
64g of rl22 giving 1/4 moa and 2917fps
Nice - what’s the bbl length ?
Gotta be very happy with that! I've always struggled with LRABs too...good to see some success.
PS great SD looks good for longer ranges.
