    7mmRM Loads Help Please

    Hi all

First up im not trying to get anyone's secret recipe

Im trying to work out a load for my 7mmRM in a Rem 700. I had 139 SST sweet and I thought i was on to it with 162 SST but strap on a suppressor and its time to screw with my head.
Started shooting 5in low and 3in left. Adjusting scope to suit didint seem to help. Using 72.2 Gr 2217 win primer Norma Brass.

Is there something im doing wrong?
    Is there some better combos?
Is there anyone else out there running a Rem 700 in RM?

    Cheers

A different impact point when putting a suppressor on is common, but you should be able to re-zero.

+1 lose the suppressor and confirm u get back to accuracy grouping u had before. If accuracy isn’t restored then likely u have a carbon fouling problem as well. Suppressors are bad news for carbon fouling, you need to adjust your cleaning regime to counter this. Also ssts can be very fussy to get to shoot tight groups

I was using 65 grs of 2213 SC ( above Max in Book but ok in my rifle) with the 162 gr A Max, changed now to 71 grs AR 2217 and 162 gr ELD X , out of a Mod 700. both loads work well. Velocity with both loads is around 3000 fps.
