    There is a good following of the 9.3X62 and the 9.3X57 here in NZ. Graeme Champion has been importing them from Europe for over 30 years and there are plenty of the Husqvarna rifles around.

    Belmont Ammunition sells the Lapua brass & Mega bullets and they are very good. they perform like Norma soft points in test medium. Hornady bullets are also available here. Very easy to reload.

    The 9.3X62 is adequate out to 250 meters.

    You are probably better off getting a 270 Win barrel for longer ranges if you hunt the South Island for Tahr etc.
