Well they are working on goats really really well. Like dynamite! I shot one in the head it actually had no head left. Bits went everywhere. Shoulder shots on medium sized running goats was working a charm they just roll over
And work well on hares out to 200m
I'll be getting more
@Toby hey mate did you end up doing any loads in this set up?
I just went with a bit over book max and its shooting good so no load development needed. Ordered another box of them this morning after the last few went to the new gong :)
Cheers. I'm thinking of trying some 100gr Noslers loaded down to say 27-2800fps. But can't find much around.
Are you shooting a tikka? If not what twist?
Ewww tikka
I'm not sure what twist sorry. Jim was telling me the 90nosler bts were deadly
I think jims talking about those EBRG's for 90gr's
Well I've ordered some 100gr Amax's and some 2209. I'm aiming for 27-2800fps. Should be able to have some shots fired this weekend
here are some 100gr amax's doing 2900fps out of a 18.5" barrel, Group is 1/2 inch.

Dammit now I wish I had an 18 inch 6.5x55
I get 2700-2750in my TCU with 100gn TTSX and 28gn of N530 for what its worth and the cases are still reloadable :) Best accuracy so far is 100gn Seirra HP which are cheap as chips almost. You should try some
So yours should be going a little faster I think although my barrel is 24 inch
after looking at the groups and fps figures again this morning it appears that there was a high fps variation which would account for the vertical stringing. Otherwise all the groups horizontally are tiny - minus the one I pulled up the top.
Anyway to combat the fps deviation?
