    ADI powder tins Age question

    Hi all
I have been given what appear to be three unopened TINs of ADI powder. I have only ever known them to be in plastic bottles so I presume these will be older. My question is as long as these are still sealed, how long will the powder last for? Will it still be any good?

As pictured= two tins of AR2209 and a tin of AR06 (Not 2206H) and a part tin of 2208.

I will be listing his 6.5x55 brass and projectiles on here in the Buy Sell so presumably that is what he was using it for...

All of those tins should have a date when packed on them, either a sticker or pressed into the top of the tin around the cap

PS. Life depends on how they are stored. The cans look good so as long as there is no sign of corrosion inside the cans it is usually fine.

Thirty or so years old. I would happily use it.

I'll have them! Nearly out of my last lot of Mulwex 2208. Those tins look pristine too...

Another thought, AR2206 was superseded by the slightly slower AR2206H around 2,000 and good data can be hard to find. The best source is a guide put out by ADI in 2,000. Let me know if you need any.

One on the right 1990s, one on left may have come over on the Endeavour with Cook.

Well to be a PITA I've been trolling through my phone for the pics of the load data I had. It was my mates book.
I had a some notes as well that showed what I did. Only one Pic and didn't show 2206. Couple of pics missing
Back in the day I looked at only ADI and 2206 was good for the 300 and 350 pills I could use in NZ and at a pinch the heavies.
    I could've really gone with 08 or 09.
I know I did get very good velocity with a middling charge so went yup.
Let a friend have a play. He burnt a heapmof my projectiles but at least he used his powder and he was getting very applicable velocities from it.
From middle between starting and top loads I was getting top load velocities of 2700 fps so I stopped there.
He dropped a grain and was getting 2500ish. Worked well and still shooting MOA at a hundy

Just strap them to an old surf board and push it to the west

Mulwex = Mullwalla Explosives Factory - which became ADI in the mid to late 1990's
