    Ballistic program's. Which is best

What ballistic program is the best one to use.
I've been using the jbm program on the net and also have used the Sierra program as well.

Anyone know of other program's to use. Wanting a program that is user friendly with an iPad for use on the range.

    Does anyone have any suggestions.

Shooter seems to be the most common. I use iSnipe and a friend uses Ballistics and using the same inputs we have compared data between them have only found a variation of one quarter of a minute of angle after 1000 yards so the algorithms are obviously very close to one another and I suspect that it will be little different with Shooter as well.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Sounds good. Is there any chance of getting a copy of shooter program. If I can't get one for the iPad. Any good program will be good.

Hoping to do more long range stuff and I need accurate info

So true. Got a drop chart sorted once and got the wrong velocity and it put it miles out at the other end.

Should get a chrony in the next week or so so will have the correct data to put in. And will have the right values for all so will give the best info for drop chart.

Been bitten with crap in crap out once before. Need to get it right.

Hoping to get the shooter app so that should help.

after all the apps and chrony work I would still spend rounds on drop validation. Its invaluable and a simple chore taught to me by a Forum member.

So true. You cant rely fully on the chart. But its certainly a good starting point. I would practice and prove at long ranges, if I had the opportunity. Good practice regardless

I need to sort out the load development and drop charts for the 190 & 210g Bergers. I have been using 155g so there is some work to do.

Any ideas of a starting load for a 30-338 win mag. I have some load data in Winchester powder but curious what the max & min load is for ADI powders. Then I would have a starting point. Most stuff I've found is in every powder except adi.

    Any ideas or suggestions
