Thread: BERGARA 243

New purchase Bergara in 243, Barrel cut from 22 to 19 threaded for DPT suppressor. First rounds through it sunday 7th. Initial shots at 50m to get on the paper after bore sight. Step target out to 100m, showing good promise with a new projectile i havnt used before 85grain speer soft point boat tail,
44 grains of AR2209 just under an inch. Couple of barrel cleans with carbon remover between strings (KG carbon remover)
So fired total of 32 rounds some were other reloads i had for a remington that has been shelved for a project rebarrel.
Good clean of the barrel with KG copper remover actually little sign of much copper in the barrel.
Looks like it may be a good shooter once the barrel has had about 100 rounds through it and settles down, may bed the front recoil lug the stock is pillar bedded and fairly stiff. Have read some issues with the bolts on these bergara's but the barrels are good.
