I was playing with different methods of shining brass.
Wet tumbling, I used 2 cups water and added one tablespoon lime juice.

Hot water helps. I use citric acid as it's 95c a box at the supermarket.

Do you leave them to soak? Put them through a sonic cleaner? Our tumbler?
I use lemons as I have a tree in the back yard. De-cap first. Boiling water straight out of the jug, half a squeezed lemon, drop of dishwashing liquid, cases to half fill an ice cream container at a time then stir it all (might bottle brush internal necks if they where really sooty at this stage). Brass turns shinny pretty much instantly. Tip out in sink and rinse with warm tap water, let drain while still stirring, place on clean bath towel, role around to dry and final dry either out in the sun or hot water cupboard. I do this many days in advance before doing anything else to let cases totally dry.
Fired all this off in the last few weeks. Still, I doubt I would put much that fear into a barn door.

Wet stainless tumbled, dried in dehydrator and ready to fill with good stuff.
Just need to find some mug to load it all for me while I am overseas for the next couple weeks.😆
