    Bushings

Hey team, I've just changed from loading my 6.5x284 to 6.5x47 lapua. I've changed the bushing I have over (290) and don't have any neck tension. Obviously I need a bushing at least 2-3tho less.
I cant find any Hornady bushings on any site here, are other bushings compatible with the Hornady Match dies?
    Any advice would be awesome.

Could someone confirm if this is in fact a hornady bushing, I’ve no reason to believe it isn’t but it looks different than those being sold in the US🤷*♂️Name: 6A2D5743-6096-4FE7-B867-3E719B92A8CA.jpeg

With the ring around it it looks like an earlier Redding.

Have you calculated your bushing required? Measure neck wall thickness (not always that accurate using a vernier) multiply by 2, add .264, take away 2 thou.
That will get you pretry close.

With my 6.5x47 using unturned Lapua I use a .287 bushing. So, your estimate of a couple of thou under .290 may be close. But, at the cost of bushings you need to measure and calculate to hopefully get the correct size first time.

What is the outer diameter of length of the bushing in the photo?

According to Mr google Hornady bushing dies will take Redding or Wilson bushings.

I've found that yes the Hornady will take Redding or Wilson, so that solves a headache.
I have measured as best I can with the tools I have and it seems the lapua 6.5x47 brass is a touch thinner than the 6.5x284. It's something I didn't consider. Lesson learnt

Looking at your bushing again I'd say it's a Hornady and the ring around it indicates that that end goes upper in the die.

I’ve just ordered a Redding 287 so with luck that’ll fit my die and workout for me. If not I’ll take you up on that👍
Workshop didn’t have any 288 in stock so I only ordered the one bushing.

The Lapua 6.5x47 measures 13tho neck wall thickness.
    Lapua 7-08 14tho
    Lapua 6.5x284 15tho
I’ve learned a lot in the last 12mths but it’s an endless process 😃
