It will be fine to shoot. I dont know what people are going on about. Those crimps were standard at one time. Its normal .
It's corrosive primed so you have to clean it first by pouring water down the bore. (It doesnt have to be boiling)
You may get some hangfires if its not been stored well over the years, click-boom! But that never hurt anyone. And you are hardly going to burn out your bore by shooting a few cordite rounds in it, it needs a years of it for that to happen.
I would not tumble live ammo. And I do a lot of stuff other people dont...
I have got some packets of old CAC .303 as well, some of it '54, some of it '58, and some others from the '40's. I would like to have some round nose 215 grain from before WW1, but have not seen any for years.
