Hi team, after a bit of advice please. What calipers do you use that you reckon are both accurate, reliable and easy to use? Was thinking digital, both for visibility and easy conversion and probably not gold plated if you know what I mean. Thanks!

I like digital, not a purist engineer or anything close to that so a pair from the tool shed or similar for under a $100 is good, I wouldnt want to drop a pair of Motoyeo's or whatever they are called that cost $500 ( I have dropped my tool depot ones, it fucks them up)
Mitutoyo digital. Buy once cry once.

I’ve had a good run with InSize. Excellent quality without breaking the bank.
I think it depends what you want to achieve. Are you target shooting or elr or just hunting ammo.

I've been using my Mitutoyo digital every night for over 30 years, you can't beat them for quality but many coulagues have started using Insize and have no problems with them. I buy mid range tools when I won't be using them daily. Top quality is great but fit for purpose is good enough.
I thought i was looking at a photo of my own gear. I use just the same. Paid about $270 for my mitutoyo one and use it 10x every reloading session. Probably comes out to about $ 2 a night in the long run. I have a wooden bench and carpet taped to the garage floor under it which saves damage to dies, bullets etc that do drop from time to time. Calipers are the basis of consistent reloading whether for hunting short long or target. I was fortunate I could afford good ones at the start.Quote:
