I have around 50 cases and some are about 2/3mm longer than the others? can someone trim them all to the correct length for me please? Ill obviously sort out courier or drop off etc. Im in Hamilton. I am only loading subsonic currently so dont expect much brass stretch and dont think a trim setup worthwhile for such small volume. Cheers!
You can get trim dies for $30 or so. They are the same length as the case, and the extra stretched brass protrudes out the top, which you just file off (the die is hardened so doesn’t get filed down). It’s simple as and fast, especially the quantity you’re looking at.

I would happily trim your brass for you if I had a .45 pilot. Surely someone on here loads .45 something and have a trimmer/pilot to help you out?
buy a set of LEE case trimers...one pilot thingy for each calibre....that way all your cases will be the same everytime....

Have you got a bench drill press? A wood bit, mount a piece of wood with a hole that accepts the primer end of the cartridge, set the stop for correct drill/trim depth, and off you go.

Max case length for 45-70 is 2.105” so has a trim length of 2.095” (you can technically then reload until they reach 2.105” again. However, for consistency lots of people just trim every case everytime.
Or if you can find somewhere that sells an RCBS .45 trimmer pilot and provide that (usually around $15) then I will trim and deburr your cases and send them back to you at no cost. The distributor link is below but BlackWatchReloading or Reloaders will likely be able to order it in for you.
