    Factory Ammo Mods

    Is it a common practice to experiment with the seating depth of factory loaded ammo to try and improve accuracy? I've just purchased a CZ 527 223 and PPU 55gr SP's are giving me an inch at 100m which i'm happy with as its really cheap. I haven't put many rounds through it so time on the blunt end might also help! Any advice will be welcomed!

    Pretty sure on my CZ527 I had to seat that Highland ammo in a bit more because they were jamming in the lands when chambered. The OAL was wrong for mine.

    My CZ527 seems pretty short in the throat also. Likely they could be touching even with factory ammo. Hornady #2266 need seated to near the top of the cannelure to avoid touching anything.
