    Federal 168gr Goldmatch 308

Been reloading for a while and had fantastic results in all my rifles apart from have not been able to get anywhere near the Federal gold match 168 factory load in my Rem 5r 308.
Been using AR2206H as have 20" barrel using 155 palmas, 168 ELDs,175 tmks while good results can't seem to repeat the gold match which piles ontop of each other.
Thinking of maybe trying imr4064 as yanks think they use that, 8208 or maybe 2208?

The tension of the neck ( crimping) on the bullet might be more important on the factory gold match than reloads , and that might be one of the secret. They also shoot the 168 gr Smk which is a very accurate bullet in a lot of barrels.

IMR is one of the great .308 powders got some very accurate loads using it years ago, 8208 is a little fast for top velocity 2208 too slow for a short barrel another good powder is IMR3031

2208 and RL15 would the powders I would try. Maybe try the 168 SMK as well. I had stock Remington that would stack em with 168gr A max, Lapua cases, max charge of 2208 and Fiocchi primers.

Federal use IMR-4064 for there gold-medal match rounds.
Here is a Link for the 175gr load
For the 168gr loads use 42.8 grains (42.75?) of IMR 4064, in Federal brass with of course the 168 Sierra Link
Read post #11 by the same guy as youtube video.

@Boaraxa here is another thread to share your experience on the matter. I know you wS not trying to replicate any factory load but your results are exceptional.
