    First crack at reloading

started reloading on the weekend, with the help of a new mate,
    7mm08 with a 139 sst , rem brass and 2206h , sauer 100 16inch barrel
the starting load was 39gn of powder and shot 0.5 moa ( best group ive ever shot ) unsure of speed.
the groups got bigger as i worked up in 0.5gn intervals until 40.5 and then started shrinking again, the weather then packed up so we did not get it all done, but i can see myself getting addicted to this.

Onya lad. I started reloading in 1976 but it's really only in the last 15 years I've learnt that accuracy is WAY more about how the rifle is set up and the GUN HANDLING. What this means is if these other parts are not understood and attended to then you will never truly know what your rifle likes. Have fun but don't forget the other parts.
Reloading is a lot like tying flies for trout in that even if u don't save money, you have a lot of fun doing it.

Reloading, is tedious, if somewhat meditative.
Load development and finding new recipes for each gun, that's what I like. Finding the heaviest for a calibre, and the lightest/fastest.
You can save yourself a swag of components and time with a ladder test.
    Nice boomstik, btw.

I started reloading to save money, more bang bang bang for your buck. In terms of money saved, nah, it's too time consuming and you never factor the money value of your time in! But it's fun to pack the little bang packages and take them out and shooting them. I mainly do paper targets and shoot unsupported, without a bipod and often without a scope, so my accuracy is like @LRP says limited by other factors than the ammo. A serious sport? No, I'm a kid out playing.

Reloading is a lot like making home brew, it's cheaper but you won't save much money cause you'll get through more of it

Went with the hornaday custom dies they seem to do the job with no issues, i gave them a scrub with some break cleaner as suggested and didnt have any tighness issues.

Did find out that my sauer has a tight chamber, some of the once fired brass wouldnt chamber properly, so looks like im gona be trimming often.
Luckly we found out before we start reloading them and where able to run the cases through and put the tight ones to the side

I recently had this issue, trimming had nothing to do with it, the shoulders on the cases weren't getting bumped enough in my old Lee dies. I found by Turning the sizing die another 1/4 to half turn into my press sorted it, apparently you can also use shims under your case holder on the press. I'll bet dollars to cents this is your issue not case length

Yep this^^^ but 1/4 to 1/2 a turn is way too much....an 1/8 to 1/16th a turn at a time or you can end up with excessive headspace and case head separation issues.
