Just bought 60 Remington 1x fired cases [223] off Rupert. Amazed at the amount of copper was removed during flash hole uniforming. Clearly more than other brands.

Did you reset the uniforming tool to chamfer the edge of the hole only?
Probably the way I have phrased it. It was just chamfering the flash hole but the material removed was much greater than experienced with other brands.Whether it is a characteristic of Remington or just the batch I am unsure but it was noticeable during the operation.
You're obviously well behind the times Mike... Copper is the new brass...:XD:
Some manufacturers tidy up the flash hole after punching it. I guess if the punch is getting a little blunt then the tag of brass punched out will just fold over to one side rather than being punched right out?
