    getting dies

so without going fully over the restictions on other stuff for the thousandth time what do you recon the chances are of getting a full length sizing die for a 6.5 06 out of the states are like other wise I can swap some 308 or 30 06 dies and 30 cal neck size die for some hoping I can use existing 6.5 neck die and x55 seating die for it

I wouldn't think it would be a problem anyway.

Try RCBS I just got some trim dies from RCBS direct, they were very good to deal with. This is the person I dealt with,

My die arrived after about two weeks which was pretty good I thought, was very pleased with the service, my son in Canada gave me the details after he requested some parts for his press and he to got a quick efficient response.

Bro just get proper 6.5-06 dies
The neck die if it’s one of those universal 6.5 ones will be fine
But get proper sizer and seater if you’re spending money on a building a rifle why skimp on $100 for the proper dies
Just seems a bit silly to try and make do with the wrong stuff when that stuff is only a small fraction of the cost of the rifle

Good luck with that... what that shop has listed and hat they actually have in stock is miles apart.

    https://www.workshopinnovation.co.nz/ is generally pretty good

alternatively, phone customs at auckland international and ask to speak to the firearms officer. Try to get hold of Matt, he is a good guy to deal with.

I bought some dies from Whidden Gunworks late last year. Really good to deal with, postage was about $50 but they chucked a couple of freebie bits and pieces in. Really well made dies.

A week prior to the Ch Ch activity by "he whose name we may not mention," I ordered a 303 blank crimping die from the Good O'l US of A. I wonder if Cinders has stoked up NZ Customs to stop and hold all dies coming into the country as they have with actual firarms? Not that Custom really need any excuse to seize "things" But for a die that stops a projectile from being used...........heigh ho, time will tell.
