    OK, just a follow up.
    Finally got decent internet & a bit of time.
    Attempted to install "wine" this morning and twice got an error message. (two different laptops)
    So,,, I have given up. I can survive without it and given the amount of use not worth the hassle. Its nice software and I rather like it,,, but that's life. I can always run GRT using my wife's old windows laptop or my daughters if I get desperate. (Using it on the USB)

    In the mean time I love linux. Laptop now has a new lease of life.
