I was wondering why my ammo was shooting .5mil flatter at 725m than previously used. So I tried it up and shot it at a match.
208 eldm in a 300 winmag. Die was set the same. New batch of powder and projectiles.
Hornady have changed the bullet slightly. Heavier and longer and different nose. I used hornady bullet comparators using every calibre one in the pack to map the nose of the bullet.

Any way hornady only state they revised BC to a different range of line up with everyone else. Not that they had tweaked the bullet. Don’t know how common it is for them to play with production bullet manufacturing design.

are you looking at the old AMAX compared to the new ELD-M and ELD-X. I know that in the 6mm (243) they have changed. The new designs are a step up over the AMAX.

I have recently discovered the same thing - Hornady 150 grain flat base interlocks. The ogive starts in a different place than before. Load would not chamber when using new bullets, which forced examination of the evidence.
Discovery was that 150 grain interlock is not the same shape.

This may be a little out of date as I bought the new packet of bullets about five years ago.
