Well a mountain of wet sawdust is a pretty brutal test medium

The 403 grain flat point opened just a little and still weighs 397 grains

And the m6x10mm hollow point one went from 355 grains to 250 grains
The shank did expand nicely but the nose is completely gone





So I'm not thinking there's any particular benefit from mortifying the basic bullets

But it's fun to experiment with
